Websites built to make the phone ring

A small business website has one job, which is getting the right people to call or book. We build fast, plain sites that say what you do, where you do it, and how to reach you, with the receptionist's chat built in and every page readable by Google and AI tools.

What does a small business website need?

Most customers land on your site from a phone, often in a hurry. They want to know three things fast: do you do this, do you come to my area, and how do I reach you. Everything else is secondary.

So every site we build starts with these:

  • A phone number at the top of every page that dials when tapped, plus a clear way to book or send a message.
  • One page for each main service, such as AC repair, water heater replacement, or panel upgrades, written in plain language with what the job involves and when to call.
  • Pages for the areas you serve, with real local detail. A page about Columbus should read like it knows Columbus.
  • Your license number where your state expects it. Some states require it in advertising; Florida, for example, requires it "regardless of medium" (section 489.119, Florida Statutes). We check your state's rule and put it on the site.
  • Reviews, photos of your actual trucks and crews, and the guarantee or warranty terms you offer.

Why speed and simple code matter

A page that takes eight seconds to load on a weak signal loses people who would have called. We build lightweight sites without heavy page builders or plugins, so they load quickly on a phone and are cheap to host.

Simple code also helps with search. Every page's text is in the HTML itself, which means Google, Bing, and the crawlers behind ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity can read it without running scripts. Many AI crawlers don't run JavaScript, so a site that only renders in the browser can look empty to them.

What's built in

  • Search setup: titles and descriptions for every page, a sitemap, Google Search Console, and Bing Webmaster Tools.
  • Schema markup for your business, services, and FAQs, matched to the visible text.
  • An AI chat that answers common questions and collects the lead when nobody's at the desk, using the same knowledge as your AI receptionist.
  • Call and form tracking, so the monthly report can tell you which pages turn into calls.
  • Forms with proper consent language, so web leads can get instant text follow-up without compliance problems.

How it fits the rest

A website is where your local SEO, AI search work, and blog content all point. Pricing depends on the size of the site and whether it's a rebuild or a repair, and it's part of the written quote you get after the 15-minute call. See pricing.

FAQ

Questions people ask

Can you fix my current website instead of building a new one?

Often, yes. If the site is fast enough and you can edit it, we'll add the missing service and area pages, fix the schema and contact details, and leave the rest alone. If it's slow, broken on phones, or locked inside a builder you can't get out of, rebuilding is usually cheaper than patching.

Who owns the website?

You do. The domain should be registered in your name, not ours or anyone else's, and we set it up that way. If you ever leave, your domain and your content go with you.

How long does a new site take?

A typical small business site with service and area pages takes a few weeks, most of it spent getting the details right with you. The receptionist can go live before the site does.
